Late

Love and lust

In you I thought I would trust

And when I am without you I feel like rust

your ex, he was my friend

On me he would depend

Can't move

Can't breathe

To breathe and move without you doesn't feel right

I wish I didn't know him, so I could fight,
For you

But now if he gets hurt, I will too

We could have lived through haunted houses and your cute blouses

But now when I look at you the feeling of failure douses and drenches

So I have to sit on the sideline benches

Because if I ask you the answer will kill me both ways

The emotions suffocating me like mustard gas in the trenches

At first sight I thought was fate

Thinking that we could have gone on a date or about what we could have ate

Or the number eight like as in our anniversary where I finally lost some weight or eight, the number of flowers I give her because it is two more than double of her favorite number to tell her that I love her more than double any other man, trust me this all relates,

Like the Rolling Stones I need some black paint

With all your purity I am no saint

Your light shines out my shadow

So much beauty I just want to faint

So in the end there are no debates and no fate because for her all I will ever be is late
