Putting on the nylon numbers
Red and black fill the room
Matching shoes on freshly waxed floor
Picturing the perfect pass
Hits cutting straight down the line
Imagining elbows above the net
Blocking the ball for the win
Hope turning into confidence
A small circle forms
Filled with chanting girls
Attracting eyes their way
Finally the time has come
Cheering fans form a tunnel
Determined girls run through
Coaches scribble a game plan
And the girls take the floor
