the wax effigy of man’s ego
a candle, whose days being numbered
shines not in counting them
but in breathing, knowing nothing
(except for warmth)
feeling
&
creating
it burns in thick air
heavy with the scent of Time
(all rolled up into an infinitesimal bauble)
