The warmth,

absorbing you,
making you feel
like a child in the
embrace of a loving parent

Swiftly
taken away–
a loved one too soon–
leaving you
dead, inside and out.

The
endless
emptiness, color
replaced by bleak
whiteness,
leaving your corpse
to freeze
forever.

Until the warm embrace
melts the pounds
of suffocating
white nothingness
reviving the lost joy.
