I’m afraid that I’ve locked my heart and thrown away the keys.
I’m afraid that even the strongest pair of clippers won’t break my lock.
I’m afraid I’ll never give you the code to my diamond heart.
I’m afraid that I’ve filled my heart with too many hopes and dreams to leave room for you.
I’m afraid that I didn’t like the things that I’ve heard about you.
I’m afraid that the rhythm of my heart doesn’t have room for an extra note.
I’m afraid that I haven’t been interested in dating since I was born,
And I’m afraid that I’m no longer interested in giving you the keys that I threw away so very long ago.
