A STRAY
In search for shelter a stray came home
Who knew she had no one to call her own
Scared, her wounds did show
It was a cat in winter time alone
I asked mom if i can keep her
Can i call her own?
Mother said deary, it is her nature
She cannot be owned
She is a cat and therefore a stray, she would come but wouldnt stay
I didnt believe, i knew she would stay
She didnt leave that day as if she feels like home
That day i loved her, kissed her feed her my way
before i could realised, she had already left
there was No stealing and no theft,
As if she never arrived seemed to me like i was dreaming on my own
Soon enough i realised she is like a gypsy, whole world is her home,
where she comes and where she goes
No one has never really known
Afterall, she is a cat and therefore a stray,
so she did come but she did not stay
