/lightning
you are the current that rushes through my veins,
the voltage contained in fluttering hearts,
the static that causes hairs to stand on end
and stomachs to churn uncomfortably.
when lips clash in the tempest
nothing can contain the spark raging on,
lasting until the hazy dawn.
the storm kicks up within our stomachs,
uncontrollable, inhaling all.
the thunderstorm, our hideaway,
legs crossed on fluffy clouds
and long hair whipped into faces,
the chill surging through our veins.
until the crack!
of overwhelming passion.
to be among the strains
of collected dew and aching electricity,
lips charged, and hearts jarred.
every time my eyes kiss yours,
a million shining seas
lash with the lightning tease
of gushing sapphire
and indigo eyes reflecting with the breeze.
uncontrollable, is what we are,
pulsing and surging
with ethereal ichor dancing through our veins,
flashing and bursting
with the wicked elements of the universe.
and at last comes the long-left clap
to break the sky like glass asunder,
left to ponder charged heights
stopped by charred sights to rumble.
