clouds
you are the sky to which i drift
the atmosphere to which i drown
the stars to which i sink,
and the gravity to which i loose…
the oxygen to which i gasp for,
the frost to which creeps closer,
sealing me away.
you are the wind which pulls away my secrets,
dripping off my lips as rain.
you are the lightning in my eyes,
the thunder which i despise.
you are the truth pealed thin,
waning and waning to begin again…
i breathe in the moonlight
with nothing in my lungs but clouds,
moist and heavy,
dragging me down.
down to the ground where i belong
not up here…
the fog seeps in
and i let it cover up my vision,
when it could be as clear as day…
but the day is no fun,
the sun steals our song
of whispering cosmos and lazy puffs.
up here where we look down
where everything i am is confused by you
and all our feelings equate to clouds,
clouds, clouds, clouds, clouds,
thinly collected and stuffed with tears.
how is it that we sit here?
ungrounded?
astounded by the ambience.
sketched away in chalks
of rose and tangerine,
of blues containing silvers and
blacks containing blues and
me’s containing you’s
to which i say again
you are the air to which i fade in,
the dark matter to which i disappear in,
the deluge to which i drown in,
and the clouds to which i hide in.
