Endless void of
bright LCD in hand,
blinking
2:47 a.m.
juxtaposed in grays and blacks
of shadow stories on walls
Wind whispers along bare spine,
a curvature of comfort in
steamy summer heat,
thick canopies of bronze berry nectar.

Cool side of the
pillow –
3:28 a.m.
and the blanket twists
lavender watercolor,
restless blushing toes.
Wildflower eyes give in to
Siren’s song;
rain streaks its canvas,
shrieking of requiem.

This glass coffin, suffocating
4:32 a.m.
unaccomplished.
Did the ability will to none?
We, in bloom,
Wonder if naming the night is wise.
Feel here,
Music in the veranda.
Hers

Guiltlessly,
5:58 a.m.
Not in malice,
arrogance,
but undefined zeal.
Entwined.
The ghost white dream-catcher:
Morning is near.
