Mirror

There’s a mirror on the wall.
It shows me the world.
It shows me what they laugh at.
It shows me what I missed.
The mirror also shows me another world, a world where there’s no pain.
Where people don’t laugh,
and nobody stares.
A world that’s perfect.
There’s only one problem with that world:
It exists because I am not there.
There’s a mirror on the floor.
The shattered glass is scattered.
I need to watch my step.
Because what I hate will continue to hurt me.

We all have to be able to look at ourselves and not see the flaws, but the aspects that make us each special. Sometimes though, it gets really difficult.
