Some might think to stay alone,
Well, they simply may not know,
How through our times we love and know,
Oh, how much we have changed and grown.

The town is old and tried and true,
The quarrels, there are but a few,
I know your name, and you know mine,
Our friendship’s stood the test of time.

Our town has changed many times,
And often, it’s been on a dime,
Our ways will keep, they’ll live past us,
Our homes, our lives, our friendliness.

We take in those who’re new and lost,
We keep the ones who’ve stayed with us.

Some might say we’re just a town,
Oh, they really do not know.
We’re more than that,
We’ve grown so much,
We’re a community at heart.

I spend my time around my freinds, my family, and their friends, and it's all linked. That inspired me to write this poem, and it went through several phases of editing before I got this poem.

I have not failed, I just found 10,000 ways to not succeed.

All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.

Basically sums up what community is, like the town the poem takes place in and the "here and there" rhymes, good job, keep it up.
