And I fell into the trap of a universe constantly expanding
Deep into a world that’s quietly demanding
The price of happiness and its odd measure
Leaves a soul like me searching for treasure
Dusty roads or linking lands
Broken bricks or heavy hands
Oh darling they call this life
A path that ends in strife
I’m stuck between now and then
I’m walking between how and when
But soon enough I find this mystery of living
Along the lines of to give without giving
I’ll find it in love or beaten breaths
I’ll lose it in sadness or a sudden death
Temporary plays the role of today
While forever acts in the play
The time has come and ink spilled its plan
To end a story that never began
