The other day I listened to a love song
and saw your smile
full of sparkle
in more ways than one.
The words wished an image so different from you
but I still heard your voice
full of hidden laughter.
I looked up at the stars last night
and saw your face.
Your eyes were the darkness in between
like Alice’s rabbit hole
I just realized
that I am still falling.
