Beside me he stood,
So strong, so tall,
But between us lied,

He was everything ,
Yet when I thought of us,

Alas when he spoke,
I could not I hear,
For I was deaf,
To words said so clear,
Ignorant of truths,
Of which drew so near.

I was blind,
I could not see,
