As a farmer I have a lot to do
Take care of my daughter, animals too
I take on great responsibilities
Things that involve the right tools and utilities
I changed my life for the better
Then one day I received a letter
I never thought my past would come back to get me
This is something I can not take a moment to believe
25 years ago I made a deal with the devil
I tried to take it back with a higher spiritual level
I failed in doing so, it`s clear as can be
My first reaction is to run and flee
For when nightfall comes he will be here
Take my daughter and disappear
I can't let this happen
I need to take action
I sat down and thought things through
I began to think, there`s nothing I can do
I get on my knees and begin to pray
Don't let my daughter be taken away
I should be the one to suffer and hurt
I made the deal! Let me be kick to the dirt
My daughter enters the room
I look at her, still remembering the day she left her mother`s womb
She looks at me, gives me a hug, tells me “It`s okay”
“The devil spoke with me, I'm leaving today.”
Shocked, not knowing what to say
I break down in tears, I want her to stay
Nightfall comes and she hugs me goodbye
She reminds me it`s not her fault, that I can't deny
So this is something everyone must remember to not commit
Never make a deal with the devil, you`ll regret it
