you are the air under my wings and you will always be enough
here are poems inside of you that paper could
never be capable of containing
and i’ve never met someone crafted with such excellence.
my skin ripples when you look into my chocolate eyes with your mossy ones,
you set fires in my heart that no amount
of rain could ever douse,
your demons found a way to get along with mine
and calm the chaos in my soul.
i love you too much to let you let you think that i could live without you.
and you say that you know but if that is true
then why is it that when i say i don’t know what i would do without you,
all you have to say is “you’d be fine without me”
but that is not true.
your soul sounds like home to me
you are comfort in my veins and stars in the sky and
everything you think you’re not.
so don’t you dare tell me i’d be okay without you when you know damn well
you are the air in my lungs.
how could you say that i’d be fine without you when
you are the reason i’m living.
your heart with mine is harmony
your heart with mine tastes like heaven and feels
like rain on my tin roof.
i will write letters every day to the parts of
yourself that you despise
i’ll say stay with me.
we’ll be okay.
