the whispers in the night
they tell me what to do
they tell me what to say
the whispers in the night
they call to me through the dark
they are critiquing my flaws
they are embellishing my fears
the whispers in the night
they knock down my creativity
build blockades from my dreams
the whispers in the night
they haunt me in my sleep
íf I try to escape
they just hold tighter
and I strain harder
until I submit
