War on Terror MAG
The once bustling, energetic town has now
been declared a war zone
The streets of Iraq are now filled with nothing
but bullet casings and shards of rocks
The sound of children running around laughing and playing has been replaced with the sounds of hundreds of thick, combat boots, hitting the ground simultaneously and the ringing of shots that have been fired
The heartbeats of men and women on both sides going faster, and faster, and faster as they lift
up their guns
Their hands shake as they try to steady their
fingers over the trigger
The thought “be prepared for everything and anything” echoing in their minds
They aren’t alone though
Both sides have the strength of those
who have fallen
The brave men and women who have given
their lives for their fellow soldiers and
country help to steady the hands of those
who continue to fight, hoping to bring an
end to this treacherous war on terror and return those still fighting home to their loved ones.
