Faith
If there is a Holy Spirit
Take me away today.
Show me all I wish to see and say
All i wish to be one day.
Open my chest and cross the lines I abide.
Untangle the hope that has withered and died
Don't tell me to hide, clip my wings wide
Let me inhale, do not let me confide.
Lean close to me, blow on my cheek
Use your power to light the match that has grown weak.
From your strength I lost, beliefs grown weak
Flowing words gone dry, a river I speak.
Holy Spirit, I ask when?
Don't let faith trick me again.
Religion a burden, lying too often
No goodbye for you, only in your name I pray
In something, someone, somewhere,
Amen.
