just like a riptide

a riptide is not really
a tide, it’s a current of
water which moves
from shore to sea
and can sweep you
away with them.
that’s what you
do to me, that’s
exactly
what you do to me,
you have swept me
from the shore of
deep, dwelling, despair,
and to the sea of
love, which is divine,
and my heart is aching
with happiness
while we dance in
the deepest oceans,
twisting in the water,
you’re just like a
riptide.
