Back in Time
I'm from twirling around,
throwing orange and red leaves into the air,
laughing on their way down.
I’m from pretending,
being a princess, a ballet dancer,
or a rockstar, like Hannah Montana.
I’m from crashing my bike,
being clumsy, falling down,
spilling stuff and making a mess.
I’m from needing a gold star,
a smiley sticker, a high five,
a purple or blue lollypop.
I’m from just wanting to grow up,
dreaming of real homework and no naps
things that now, I would happily take back.
