My Feet Lead Me

My feet lead me, because my mind
Would only calculate risks
And my heart would send me
Into situation that could hurt me
But my feet know the right way
They know the way home
And they know where they belong
My feet lead my way, lead my verses
Dirtied with fresh mud,
My feet know their forest
Skip over roots, swerve over bugs
My feet can feel before I touch
The soft ground of the woods
They know where rocks hide
And what pebbles glide under me
I take care of my feet
Because they lead me
