More than anything,
I wish I could turn these feelings into words.
Wish I could tell you
why I just don’t care.
Tell you what changed my perspective.
I wish I could tell you why I can’t focus in school.
The reason my A’s have slipped to D’s and F’s.
I wish I had the words to tell you
how nothing has a meaning to me anymore.
My mom will tell you that they are working on perfecting my medicine.
And how I’ve been going through such a hard time since…
it happened.
But I don’t have a way to describe
how my insides feel empty, hollow.

How my brain moves a billion miles a minute but nothing makes sense.
My heart beats fast

but a beating heart doesn’t mean you’re living.
I’ve been trapped inside a bottle and I’m banging on the glass sides and screaming for someone to pop the cork and let me out.
I wish I had the words to ask for help.
But I just don’t.
