I wrote this poem from the perspective of a modern women speaking to Cinderella. As time has progressed, women have found a way to speak out against misogynistic behaivors and norms of society. The poem gives the perspective that the step mother could possibly have been preventing Cinderella from marrying a man that would eventually hurt her.

Cinderella is revered for leaving her cruel step mother and marrying her Prince Charming. But who knows what happened after they got married. She could have been in an unhappy marrigae, but have no way of getting out because she did not create a life for herself.

Cinderella decided to put all her trust in one man. By believing in the idea of a happpy ending from a "Prince Charming", Cindrella and many young girls have dreamt of a man sweeping them off their feet to give them those wishes. In reality, society should be encorugaing girls to be independent and make their own dreams come true.
