The Winter Street
I watch from the distance…
Vibrant colors,
Turn the corner,
The audience cheering with glee.
Floats of all shapes and sizes.
All of them glittering with light.
People singing,
Dancing.
Sound explodes,
From the left.
The Band.
With its instruments shining gold.
The formation is near perfect.
Jingle Bells, Rockin Around the Christmas Tree.
People Cheering,
Hearing.
Cold air,
Rushing through the sky.
Small clouds,
Form from the bystanders breath.
Chills creep up their spines.
People shivering,
Chattering.
Balloons,
Floats,
Bands,
All the People…
All things must end.
One of which,
Is the Parade.
People leaving,
Goodbying.
Right now,
I stand alone.
I love the Parade,
All the People.
At my home,
There aren’t many,
People.
“Until next year.” I say.
I fall asleep.
In The Alley
