Silvery flakes drifted down, glittering in the bright light of the harvest moon. The blackbird swooped down and snatched the woman’s hat. She shook in fear. Than, the bird landed and said,

“Beware of all Hallows Eve. For this shall be the worst of nights.
Beware all your frights shall take flight.
The dead shall rise from their graves. So go hide into your caves.
Nothing will stop them from giving you a good scare.
Beware of the harvest moon on all hallows eve, for this is the day great evils shall overrun the land. Who knows maybe you will lose your hand.

Monsters, witches, and demons oh my!
They might frighten you into saying good bye.
But no, you can’t leave. Because that won’t do.
They won’t let you leave unless they want you to.
Beware of an evil much greater than this,
For it is you.
You are the biggest monster that runs amuck.
Which is just your luck.
You are the one person you fear most.
You are the biggest threat from coast to coast.
Beware of the harvest moon on all hallows’ eve.

You are the evil children run crying to their parents at midnight.
You bring their fear to new heights.
You are the monster under their bed.
So frozen in fear you might as well be dead.

My creative writing teacher gave me a Halloween prompt and I really like Halloween and things like scary so I thought it was really fun to write about and I enjoyed it very much.
