When The Rain Comes
The stream

quietly through the forest.
The clear water would give off a silver gleam.
The LOUD silence was perfect for lovers on their first date.
It was the cat’s meow of the woods.
One day a wicked storm whipped through the woods,
and swelled the stream out of its banks.
The stream painted mud all over the vegetation.
The mud dried and left a thick layer of dust everywhere.
But
when
the
rain
came,
it washed all of the dust away,
making the forest a pleasant and lyrical place again.
