I know the way the sky looks
Before it falls.
It’s dark and the stars
Are so close you can taste them,
(sugar with a little bit of Tabasco sauce)
When it falls,
It rolls through your fingers like
A life unlived,
You know there’s no way
You’ll ever see it again.
