Favorite Quote:
In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.
(Martin Luther King)

The casket is open
My eyes fill up with tears
I try to look away
But I am in a trance
She who resides in that coffin
Has provided life and joy and love
To me and others.
Out of everybody here
I believe I hold the most pain
I try not to make noise
But I fail
A shriek comes out
Then a whine
And more tears
I fall to the ground
I can barely breathe
I am burning in a fire
Scorching hot
I will always miss my mother
And remember what she has done for me.
Kissed my little cheek
Fed my desiring mouth
Clothed my growing body
She dealt with me for years
While Staying devoted and loving and caring
The pain pierces my organs
The fire melts my flesh
She has departed on a flight
I never want to board
But someday I’ll do the same.
And I will remember her.
Through memory and agony…

My inspiration for this peice is my mother, who i love dearly. She's alive and well. i like to write emotional peices the most. In my opinon, it's where my writing shines the most.
