Mango water ice is the flavor
Of my fourteen-year-old mistakes
Made in pitiful ignorance
The sweetness was deception
I cringe to think of how
For two years I tasted only mango

Iced coffee is the flavor
Of my eighteen-year-old mistakes
Made with an impish smirk
The bitterness keeps me wary
I pray I’ve banished regret
With coffee lingering on my breath.
