I sit in my room thinking about what I should tell,
I think about subjects of which I could dwell.
There is so much wrong with the current world,
The earth has been hurled and twirled.
It has been twisted and destroyed,
and for what? a computer, an iphone, an android?
We mine the earth for a thing called coltan,
By doing this we kill the closest thing to human.
The Eastern Mountain GorillA,
They’re being killed along with AfricA.
They say whatever, it’s just a monkey,
But who do you think began this family tree?
They climb trees, are docile, quite friendly,
Yet we demolish their whole world blindly.
There’s something seriously wrong with society,
Since when do we butcher life spiritedly?
I criticize myself as well, I too have a phone,
But my life goal it to protect our home.
Gorilla’s, are known for being tranquil,
We should live a life that’s unegotistical.
We’ve got a disease that can be diagnosed,
We destroy everything from coast to coast.
Now is when we should act the most,
Or else the Gorilla and this world will be nothing but a ghost.
If we keep mining and destroying for cellphones,
We’ll end up dying in this big world all alone.
