Light Trickles Through
On a broken autumns day
Motionless trees, steadfast in death
One could hear him say
"Send my regards to everyone in Nazareth"
So he took the weight and put it right on me
I ventured to a small town that guards the sea
Never had I felt so broken or unwanted
His regards were never warranted
So I carried the weight with me everywhere I went
The wind howled and whispers it sent
I roamed with three thousand pounds on me
It's something I got for free
The light trickled through cracks in my soul
Only to be replaced with love from anothers soul

What inspired me to write this was the song "The Weight" by The Band.
