Have you ever dreamed of falling?
I was never afraid of heights. I never had an obvious fear of falling.
I often dream of falling.
I can remember the wind on my face so vividly.
Kissing my cheeks
Crawling through my hair.

Have you ever dreamed of flying?
Not with wings like a bird,
Just being swept up by the wind.
Hugging you like your mother used to.

Have you ever dreamed of falling?
Never hitting the ground
Just falling.
Letting the wind caresses you,
Whispering his apologies in your ear
For your father, who could never seem to choke out an "I'm sorry".
For your mother, who could have probably said "I love you" one more time.
Letting the wind take responsibility
For your lovers, who broke every promise.
For your siblings, who's intentions were always well.

When I'm awake
I spend my time on the roof.
One more step is all need.
Tell me, honestly.
Have you ever dreamed of falling?
