Faith’s Story
The little girl was born with a defect- she had autism…
Yet when her dad picked her up and saw her blinking brown eyes he knew she would win against all
odds one day…
Her name was faith, yet when she was at school she had very little faith…
Her class mates would taunt her and ask her questions to which she had no answer…
She would often go home and just sob in her father’s arms and keep asking him why she had to be the
one with autism…
Her father would patiently explain to her that it wasn’t bad to be different and that autism was her
greatest strength….autism was the reason she had extraordinary skills in understanding why certain
things took place….
Faith would listen silently but still wonder why she had to be different…
As if reading her mind, her father would answer that being different was a virtue and then tell her that
her believed in her and one day she would believe in herself as well….
That day did not come soon. But it did come…
One night, Faith dreamt that she figured out what caused several disorders and helped patients with
disorders similar to hers all around the globe…
The second she awoke, Faith ran to tell her father about her dream…
Her father asked her what she was going to do now…
And her reply was that she was going to fulfill it because she had been given more than enough
capability to do so….
