I love him,

he is the rose in my meadow

the violets in my life

I don’t care what might happen

I only want him

the years go by

each one more sad and blue

the hope dwindles

sadness increases

things only get worse

until there is nothing left

nothing but sad

I reach out

but all I touch has slipped away in the night

nothing but a sea of grey

all I can see has disappeared

I love him

but the roses have browned

the violets are dead
