Swarms of dragonflies in my eyes
Crimson, like sunset skies in July.
Blanket suffocates, too late to escape
Tidal waves of pain – I hear someone say –
Something, so softly, so very distant
Fade in, fade out
And fade in once again.
Swarms of dragonflies in my eyes
Scattered black cherries, soon overripe.
Heartbeat so weak now, heat reaches its peak
Searing agony – I hear someone speak –
Something, so softly, so very distant
Fade in, fade out
And fade in once again.
Swarms of dragonflies in my eyes
Golden, like rays of light at sunrise.
Wind blowing through the open window
Slowly I inhale – I hear someone moan –
Something, so softly, so very distant
Fade in, fade out.
Fade in, fade out.
