Year after year
A wish longing to come true
Finally comes to be
The wish to see the one
Who can fill a missing piece
A heart soars like no other
For an angel grants the miracle
Until time becomes the enemy
Leaving only a bittersweet ache
In the once so bright heart
With a new wish
For that day to come again
Dreaming that it won't be
Another year after year
