The Clock
The clock on the wall
ticks and ticks
Never moving any faster
Nor does it ever stop
The clock on the wall
promises that tomorrow shall come
Yet my heart pleads for the clock on the wall
to simply stop
Maybe reverse
I've tried to break the clock
but it puts itself back together
Telling me that I shall wake each morning

I wrote this a couple years ago when I had writers block and the clock on the wall was driving me insane with its ticking, so it helped me write and get out of writers block
