I woke up in a body bag with one eye wrapped around my brain
You’ll always be my favourite— we’re singing in the rain
We’re dancing in the desert with grape vines tied around our throats
We’re drinking wine and chewing sand and folding paper boats

I woke up in a body bag, I took pictures of the moon
You’ll always be my always— asleep across the room
We’re laughing at the skylines while writing fortune cookie notes
We’re dreaming at last, in tune we laugh— sipping from kaleidoscopes

I woke up in a body bag and the life was gone from me
I fluttered past the flowers and I floated on the sea
You’ll always be my halfway house— a butterfly’s cocoon
I wish we were still playing games, washing weightless down a flume

W.O.W. This poem really sat well with me, and it's going to make a beautiful phone wallpaper for me!
