He called but I never listened
In with the bullet of my past
out with my predetermined future
seeping down, staining
white marble stairs
golden gates tightly snared
to my blood soaked
sin stained hands
reaching for a savior
who just wasn't there
or maybe never cared?
If only I had known
when I was sure I was alone
He was there all along
waiting for me to come home.
