Butterfly

From day to day,
Each passing moment was special.
You were special.
As years passed by
You began to grow,
Meet new people,
And find yourself.
You helped people and the environment.
You were smart and had a smiling face all the time.
You were becoming a beautiful butterfly
Full of life and color.
Your freedom made you and everyone around you glow with joy.
But what changed?
You suddenly flew away.
Never to be seen or heard from.
Did you leave your freedom behind?
Where did all the color go?
Then one day,
You were gone.
Forever.
