I Got the Joy! MAG

January 21, 2009
By Anonymous

I got the joy
to pop the corn
side the walk
swing the set
mock the bird
glow the worm
gas the light

To
break the fast
ice the box
stair the well
school the boys
bubble the gum
french the kiss

To
yellow the fever
treasure the chest
miracle the grow
marry the gold
night the mare

To
jump the jack and back again
I believe
I believe I got it … that joy!

this somewhat seems pointless and has no meaning and its rather confusing and just is to jumpy from one subject to the next and it needs more thought and soul put into it or else it is just words being put together in a careless way.

"People believe that if we really want to eliminate something, focus on that. How much sense does it make for us to give the particular problem all of the energy, as opposed to focusing on trust, love, living in abundance, education, or peace? -Un.

This is so different, and everything you compare is so different... I like how you can take so many different, and diverse things but fit them together in one poem.

Well done :)

It is so offbeat, original, and wonderful. When you talk about joy, good things come naturally!

This poem is lovely. Your joy is evident in not only the words you say, but the way the poem is written. It's simplicity is perfect.
