I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.

I am reduced to a pile of dusty bones
A skeleton of uncertainty and confusion.
My haggard wilting skin is rotting,
my eyes have sunken far into my skull,
and my slender, lifeless figure
is paralyzed with lassitude and fatigue.
As I lay motionless,
On the cold damp ground,
Memories of my past beginning to surface,
dancing and singing inside my head.
I can’t help but remember-
When I felt blood rushing through my veins,
Warmth and emotions flooding my heart.
When my eyes twinkled with life
And my round cheeks ached from smiling.
When music filled my young ears
And my feet were sore from dancing all night
And I think-
As my brittle bones sink deeper into the mud,
Oh, how I wish I could go back
To the land of the living.
