In Honor of Kristen Rushlow
In honor of the name that was swept off by the wind
Purged by the tears of helplessness as she is washed away
A smile that shined, brilliantly pushing the clouds away with the intent of love, leaving a hole in the darkness
Now the hole is empty and darkness seeps more pure than before
Yet we shall move on
The pain of loss is different from pain because it is not pain
It is emptiness
The emptiness we look away from
Only by walking into the abyss of what we no longer have can we accept that nothingness is what is inside
Tears of crimson fall from the heavens
The fire of life sniffed out
Yet the ashes still fly
Sparking new fires
Her life is not gone
It is just frozen in time
She is not in pain
She is at peace
Although the scythe of death swung soon
Because she died so soon
She will be remembered for so long
The love she felt for her love, her family, and children
The passion in her heart left behind
Live on
Never forget what you felt
Accept that she is dead
Love her
Love what you saw
Store the memories in your heart
In honor of Kristen Rushlow
