I rise before the rooster crows,
I must be out before the does have rose,
while I sit in my blind without without a whine,
I wish I had more time,
I hear a “CRACK”,
Chills run down your neck,
It gets you every time,
suddenly you hear the crashing
of the deer bolting through the woods.
Quickly you grab the gun before it arrives
so you can take it by surprise!
The deer so wise it takes you by surprise,
Then you raise the gun making a sudden noise
startling the deer causing it to flee.
The monster you’ve been waiting for,
Is finally in store letting out a big ole’ snort,
his ears so short,
flickering all around up and down.
Your guns ready as you take
deep breaths calming your adrenaline,
slowly inhaling you reach for the trigger,
slowly exhaling you fire.
Its a clean kill,
as you walk up the hill to see your kill
it is a huge thrill.
