Presentations
The bane of school.
I strongly dislike it.
It makes me nervous
and gives me butterflies.
It is stressful
and the result of this poem.
Presenting
is scary If you are all by yourself in the front.
The only thing that makes it
a little better is something to hold on to,
something to keep you company up in the barren land that is
the front of the room, something to take your eyes off
the crowd so you can
forget them for a time,
such as paper. hidden in the barren land is
the fear and discomfort of having
an audience.some people not even paying attention, some
with full attention, and others in between.
you know they
will forget by next period but you still worry
what they’ll
think. They say it prepares
you for your future, well then the future
will be filled with poems like these.
