Live as if you were to die tomorrow. learn as if you were to live forever. -Mahatma Gandhi

Some days I have to wonder

What is the world like

With color and shape

What is color...

I can hear plenty more than I want to

But with that plenty

I have to wonder

What do those sound look like

Then I remember the sounds

How horrible the sounds are

And how I can't stand the sounds

How hateful and ugly the sounds are

So for now my curiosity is put out

Then I sit alone and listen

I listen by myself

And I hear music playing

Softly playing, and melodious

They say it's birds and the trees

They say the trees are green

What is green...

Then the tempurature drops at night

I sit outside and again listen

There are no sounds except air moving

I have a friend next to me

He tells me of the stars

The stars make no sounds, therefore

They must be beautiful

They are not tainted by sound,

Yet I can't touch them, taste them, or smell them

I can only see the stars

But I can't...

My one wish

To see the stars

It's complete because

I have a friend who tells me of them

And I know I don't have to see them

Because I can hear them

I hear them through him

He is my star

If only I could see him, the voice
