I Only Want to See the Stars
Some days I have to wonder
What is the world like
With color and shape
What is color...
I can hear plenty more than I want to
But with that plenty
I have to wonder
What do those sound look like
Then I remember the sounds
How horrible the sounds are
And how I can't stand the sounds
How hateful and ugly the sounds are
So for now my curiosity is put out
Then I sit alone and listen
I listen by myself
And I hear music playing
Softly playing, and melodious
They say it's birds and the trees
They say the trees are green
What is green...
Then the tempurature drops at night
I sit outside and again listen
There are no sounds except air moving
I have a friend next to me
He tells me of the stars
The stars make no sounds, therefore
They must be beautiful
They are not tainted by sound,
Yet I can't touch them, taste them, or smell them
I can only see the stars
But I can't...
My one wish
To see the stars
It's complete because
I have a friend who tells me of them
And I know I don't have to see them
Because I can hear them
I hear them through him
He is my star
If only I could see him, the voice
