Messages That Burn
Your word is useless
Your words are bruises
Deep-set wounds
Belittling, intrusive.
Your lip I'm tired of
Your lips are pyres fraught with
Messages that burn.
Unsettling, exclusive.
"Hang you!" Are words I'd like to say.
Hangs you above a hate-filled bay.
Sail away. Take your words along.
Sail a ways, until the memory is gone.
