You took my people from me
Why?
What have we ever done to you?
You, the fabled “Keeper of Time”
Betrayed your brother
And wiped us out

When I wounded you,
Your black blood
Fell upon me
And you shared your curse
With a mortal
Now I can’t die
No matter how much I want to

I watched civilization grow
And then fall
A people, once commanders of the Earth
Now, nothing but a memory
I watched as the ones who called me friend
Grow up
And pass on to the next world
A world that I will never know

But I must thank you
For giving me this curse
Now, I can eternally punish you
I have torn out your intestines
And they grow back the next day
Your screaming amuses me
Now sleep
You need to regenerate
Until tomorrow
When we repeat this process
All over again.

This is the third and final poem of my assignment of 3. This is a continuation of the first "The Immortal" so you should probably read that one first or this one will just be weird. Hope you like them!
