Nothing but a name
On a mausoleum wall
But you bring tears
To my young eyes
I know not the body
Held behind you
But the boy before me
Needs that body back
His inspiration and teacher
His father, held behind
You, a name
On a mausoleum wall
As I cry to myself he sits
Bound by silence
No tears left to fall
And we stare
I pray for the boy
Sitting before me who
Looks up at you, a name
On a mausoleum wall

This was inspired by a trip to the mausoleum with my best friend to visit his late father. The trip was very hard for me and this poem cannot fully express the emotion that I experienced.
